Materials Testing Experience

Subdivision Developments: Provides materials testing services for site grading, underground utilities installation, road construction, and top-of-bank grading at numerous subdivisions throughout the greater Edmonton area.

Commercial/Industrial Buildings: CT & Associates Engineering Inc. technicians have provided field services for the development of commercial, industrial and highrise buildings, including site grading, utilities installation, foundation inspection and pavement construction. This has included building sizes ranging from conventional commercial retail units to larger industrial buildings, over 800,000 sq. ft.

Highway Construction: CT & Associates Engineering Inc. provides the required field and laboratory testing services for remedial highway construction including the construction of new HMA pavement, as well as cold-mix asphalt pavements.

Institutional Buildings: CT & Associates Engineering Inc. provides field testing services to schools, fire halls, sport complexes, and other various public facilities.

CCIL/ CSA - Certified Asphalt and Concrete Testing: All field and laboratory concrete testing is completed by CCIL certified technicians. Our laboratory is also certified for compliance asphalt testing for Superpave AND Marshall mix designs, in addition to HMA extraction via ignition.

General Materials Testing: The CT & Associates Engineering Inc. Materials Testing laboratory regularly tests soil, asphalt, and concrete. All laboratory and field testing meets the required ASTM, CSA, AASHTO, or Alberta Transportation (ATT) procedures at competitive rates. Inquire for scope and pricing. CTA laboratory can perform a wide range of tests ranging from basic to complex and can accurately determine soil, asphalt, and concrete parameters for design and specification compliance.

Engineered Fill Construction: CT & Associates Engineering Inc. can provide engineering supervision and testing for the construction of engineered fill. Engineered fill is required for slab on grade construction, can support footings, and is required in most building and permit applications.

Asphalt Concrete and Portland Cement Concrete Mix Consulting: CTA has a strong technical backing for provision of mix design and civil materials consulting in both asphalt and concrete supply.

Soils, Asphalt, and Concrete Testing: CTA can conduct materials testing to ASTM, CSA, and AASHTO test methods as required. For pricing, please contact our office. Our lab can provide the following:
